"The construction of the Yogyakarta–Solo Toll Road as part of a national\r\nstrategic project has the main objective of improving connectivity, transportation\r\nefficiency, and supporting regional economic growth. However, the reality on the\r\nground shows that there are serious issues related to the rights of land and building\r\nowners located along the toll road, especially those who are not included in the land\r\nacquisition area but are still affected by the project. Community groups are facing\r\neconomic, social, and ecological losses, including decreased land value, limited road\r\naccess, and pollution and noise disturbances, without adequate compensation schemes.\r\nThese issues highlight the unequal distribution of development benefits, which\r\ncontradicts principles of social justice and should protect all citizens.\r\nThis study aims to analyze the implementation of the rights of landowners and\r\nbuildings along the Yogyakarta –Solo within the framework of the Sustainable\r\nDevelopment Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 1 (Poverty Eradication), Goal 10\r\n(Reducing Inequality), Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and Goal 16\r\n(Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). Additionally, this study employs Nejatullah\r\nAsh-Shiddiqi's theory of Islamic justice, which emphasizes the balance between\r\nindividual freedom, social interests, and moral values in development. The research\r\nmethod used is sociological-legal with a descriptive qualitative approach through\r\ninterviews, field observations, and literature reviews. The researcher explores the\r\nphenomenon of injustice experienced by affected communities and assesses the extent\r\nto which existing regulations, particularly Law No. 2 of 2012 on Land Acquisition for\r\nPublic Interest, can guarantee the protection of their rights.\r\nThe results of the study show that many landowners and building owners along\r\nthe toll road who were indirectly affected did not receive compensation, while others\r\ngained significant benefits from the toll road construction. This inequality confirms the\r\nviolation of the principles of inclusiveness and justice as emphasized in the SDGs and\r\nIslamic values of justice. Therefore, this study recommends the need to reformulate\r\nland acquisition policies by taking into account social, economic, and ecological\r\naspects more comprehensively. The integration of Islamic social justice principles and\r\nSDG sustainability indicators into infrastructure projects is key to ensuring that toll\r\nroad construction is not only focused on economic growth but also on protecting\r\ncommunity rights and achieving sustainable justice."^^ .
