(devotion/humility) hadith in prayer, as narrated in Imam Malik's Al-Muwa{\d t}{\d t}a?, Hadith No. 70. Khusyu? is a fundamental element in prayer, often challenging to maintain, especially in the modern era with its numerous distractions. This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the hadith's authority and its relevance in contemporary Islamic spiritual practice, ultimately seeking to improve the quality of worship. The research methodology involves hadith criticism to assess the quality of both the sanad (chain of narration) and matan (text). The sanad quality is evaluated by tracing its transmission path to Imam Malik, while the matan is assessed against criteria of authenticity, such as consistency with the Qur'an, other authentic hadiths, reason, and historical facts. Furthermore, the hadith is interpreted contextually using Yusuf al-Qardhawi's theory, considering its implications for daily life. The research concludes that the hadith of khusyu? in prayer narrated by Imam Malik (Al-Muwatta? No. 70) possesses authentic sanad and matan quality, making it a strong and valid source. The understanding of khusyu? refined through the contextual approach of Yusuf al-Qardawi is not merely textual but also meaningful contextual, emphasizing the importance of full presence of heart during prayer, avoiding distractions, comprehending the meaning of recitations, and proper preparation. This concept highlights that khusyu? is a continuous training process, culminating in the awareness of God's observation (ihsan), thus remaining relevant for contemporary practice to enhance spiritual closeness with the Divine.} }
