One way that humans can use is to convey it verbally, such as making a speech. Speech is used by society to be conveyed and known by other people with certain aims and purposes. This research aims to explore the Appraisal theory in Dalia Mogahed's speech on the TED Talk YouTube channel entitled "What It's Like To Be a Muslim In America?". In this research, the author took data from Dalia Mogahed's speech on the TED Talk YouTube channel entitled "What It's Like To Be a Muslim In America?". The data was analyzed using Appraisal theory by Martin & White (2005). This research is included in the descriptive qualitative method because this research discusses about the social phenomeon of a Muslim woman who gave a speech in front of Americans. The research result shows that all types of Appraisal material are applied in Dalia Mogahed's speech. Apart from that, Dalia applied the Appraisal material by raising categorical issues to convey her experience.
