abstract: This research aims to evaluate the existence and effectiveness of the library development efforts undertaken by Perpus Bagus. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing data collection techniques that include direct observation, in-depth interviews, and related documentation. During the analysis process, the data obtained from the initial collection is processed through data presentation or data reduction, followed by drawing valid conclusions. To ensure data validity, this study applies source triangulation and member checks. The results of this research reveal that Perpus Bagus has implemented various strategic initiatives in library development, such as the digitization of services, the procurement of new collections, and the establishment of collaborations with various parties. However, despite these advancements, Perpus Bagus continues to face significant challenges. These challenges include internal obstacles, such as potentially inflexible internal policies, and external challenges, including unpredictable government policy changes and budget constraints from the libraries that are their clients. These issues impact the smooth implementation of the planned development initiatives.
