"Class Struggles in films and video games are often portrayed as collective\r\nactions of the proletariat or marginalized groups against the ruling class. This\r\nAssassin’s Creed video game portrayed a class struggle between individuals against\r\nthe oppressor in two different eras. This research focuses on the portrayal, process,\r\nand impact of class struggle by Altair Ibn La’Ahad and Desmond Miles as the main\r\ncharacters in Assassin’s Creed. This research uses the Marxist theory of Class\r\nStruggle by Karl Marx (1848) and is supported by the Class Consciousness theory\r\nby György Lukács (1923). This research also uses Film Theory by Christian Metz\r\n(1974) to understand the scenes. This research uses qualitative methods to analyze\r\nthe object. This research aims to disclose individual class struggle and its process\r\nin Altair Ibn La’Ahad and Desmond Miles characters. This research reveals that\r\nAltair Ibn La’Ahad’s class struggle was shaped because of his distrust of his\r\nmaster's behavior in hiding information about the Creed. Desmond Miles's class\r\nstruggle was shaped by his childhood because he grew up in an isolated community\r\nand ran away from his family. Desmond is then kidnapped by Abstergo Industries\r\nas a subject for their Animus Project to find Pieces of Eden's location from genetic\r\nmemories of Desmond’s ancestor. Altair’s and Desmond’s struggle in Assassin’s\r\nCreed successfully propelled the Assassin’s Creed franchise to be well known as\r\nhistorical re-creation science-fiction and contributed to influencing discussion\r\nabout historical and social context in video games."^^ .
