By reading, someone will gain new knowledge that has never been encountered before. However, the reality is that currently students' interest in reading is still low. In order to increase students' interest in reading, the government issued a Permendikbud which states that all high schools in Indonesia are required to implement the School Literacy Movement program, including SMA N 1 Jetis Bantul. This research aims to describe the efforts of SMA N 1 Jetis to increase students' interest in reading through the School Literacy Movement along with supporting and inhibiting factors. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects in this research consisted of the school principal, school literacy team, and students. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, documentation and interviews. Data analysis techniques are carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Testing the validity of the data in this research uses source triangulation, technique triangulation, time triangulation, and member checking. The results of the research show that: (1) The implementation of the School Literacy Movement at SMA N 1 Jetis has reached the transition from the development stage to the learning stage with various activities in accordance with the existing indicators at the development stage. (2) Supporting factors in its implementation include the enthusiasm of all school members and the surrounding community as well as adequate school facilities such as a library, a special room for literacy activities, and a place to store students' work. Inhibiting factors include poor maintenance of school reading oases, some activities are not consistent, students do not get used to reading at home, and difficulty transferring literacy. The solutions to overcome these obstacles include establishing a person in charge of a school reading oasis, making a detailed literacy activity plan for one year, involving parents in literacy activities, and holding Javanese script training workshops so that with the hope that literacy activities will continue to develop. With the implementation of the As if Literacy Movement program, students' interest in reading at SMA N 1 Jetis Bantul has increased. %Z Dr. Hj. Sri Rohyanti Zulaikha, S.Ag., SS., M.Si.
