abstract: This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Mandala Wiwaha concept in the rhetoric of Cakcoy Pathoknegoro's sermons as a religious preacher. The Mandala Wiwaha concept consists of four main components: cangkang (technique), buah (insight), siki (message), and mataholang (audience). The analysis used is Aristotelian rhetoric, namely ethos (credibility), pathos (emotion), and logos (logic of the message). This study employs a qualitative method with a cultural da'wah approach. Data collection is conducted through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation.
The results of the study indicate that Cakcoy Pathoknegoro successfully integrates the Mandala Wiwaha concept into his sermons by blending Javanese cultural values with classical rhetorical principles. The ethos element is reflected in his credibility and image as a puppeteer and multidisciplinary speaker. The pathos element is evident in his ability to understand and touch the emotions of the audience through an empathetic and contextual approach. Meanwhile, the logos element is implemented in the delivery of messages that are logical, easy to understand, and relevant to everyday life.
This study concludes that the implementation of the Mandala Wiwaha concept in Cakcoy Pathoknegoro's rhetoric not only strengthens the effectiveness of his preaching but also creates a harmonious relationship between the speaker and the audience. These findings provide an important contribution to the development of cultural preaching methods that are adaptive to the times while maintaining traditional values.
