abstract: This research aims to describe the role of the Disabled Zone Community in empowering the economy of people with disabilities through the written batik program. The background to this research stems from the importance of economic independence for people with disabilities as a form of improving quality of life and reducing dependency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that the Disabled Zone Community has a strategic role as a facilitator, motivator and companion in the batik skills training process, design development and product marketing. This program not only provides additional income, but also increases the self-confidence, creative skills and social networks of community members. The challenges faced include limited capital, marketing that is not yet optimal, and limited access to technology. The conclusion of this research confirms that economic empowerment through the batik program can be an effective model of social inclusion, as long as it is supported by sustainable collaboration between the community, government and the private sector.
