"The illegal distribution of Class G Drugs in Bantul Regency represents a\r\nserious issue in both legal and public health domains. Drugs that should only be\r\nobtained with a doctor’s prescription are still widely circulated without strict\r\nsupervision, creating risks of misuse, addiction, and even death. In 2024, the Bantul\r\nResort Police recorded 56 cases of illegal Class G drug distribution, a figure that\r\nremains significantly higher compared to other narcotics offenses. This\r\nphenomenon raises questions regarding the effectiveness of law enforcement\r\nmeasures as well as the criminogenic factors behind the persistence of such crimes.\r\nThis study aims to examine and analyze law enforcement efforts by the\r\nBantul Resort Police in handling cases of illegal Class G drug distribution, and to\r\nidentify the criminogenic factors driving individuals to engage in such activities.\r\nThe research applies an empirical juridical method, utilizing data collected through\r\ninterviews with investigators from the Narcotics Unit of Bantul Resort Police and\r\ninmates at Bantul Class IIB Prison, combined with literature studies on relevant\r\nlegislation and criminology theories.\r\nThe findings reveal that law enforcement has been carried out through\r\nrepressive measures, such as investigation, arrest, and detention, as well as\r\npreventive measures, including legal counseling and public awareness campaigns.\r\nHowever, the effectiveness of these efforts is hindered by limited human resources,\r\ninsufficient facilities and infrastructure, and weak supervision over drug\r\ndistribution, particularly through online platforms. On the other hand, the\r\npredominant criminogenic factors include economic pressure, low education levels,\r\nweak legal awareness, and social environmental influences. An analysis using\r\nRobert K. Merton’s anomie theory demonstrates that such offenses are a response\r\nto structural inequality, where individuals resort to illegal means in order to\r\nachieve socially recognized economic goals. In conclusion, the problem of illegal\r\nClass G drug distribution in Bantul is not solely a matter of law enforcement but\r\nalso a broader socio-economic issue. Addressing this requires a multidisciplinary\r\napproach that not only emphasizes legal measures but also focuses on economic\r\nempowerment, education, and strengthening public legal awareness."^^ .
