Amid the growing rise of intolerance and the lack of reinforcement of tolerance values within the national education system, this pesantren emerges as a model of contextual, inclusive, and transformative Islamic education.This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method, involving participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that moderation values such as tolerance, humility (tawadhu?), proper conduct (adab), and brotherhood (ukhuwah) are not only taught theoretically but are also practiced in the daily life of the students through role modeling, habituation, and consistent institutional regulations. Students not only understand the concept of moderation cognitively but also actualize it in social behavior that reflects fairness, politeness, and openness toward differences. The pesantren also applies a holistic approach that encompasses cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects in cultivating noble character. This study demonstrates that character education based on moderate Islamic values is effective in shaping religious individuals who are tolerant and adaptive to social dynamics. The results of this research are relevant to be used as a model for the development of national education policies oriented toward strengthening character and promoting social harmony in a plural society.} }
