"Shrimp farming in Sumenep has a positive influence on the regional\r\neconomy. The success of shrimp farming in Sumenep District is able to raise the level\r\nof community welfare. But on the other hand, the waste generated from shrimp ponds\r\nhas a negative impact on the environment around the ponds because waste disposal\r\nis not treated according to the rules. The impact of direct disposal of waste includes\r\npolluting seawater and spreading a pungent odour. In the long term, such waste\r\ndisposal methods can threaten the sustainability of nature and cause wider\r\nenvironmental damage. So the application of the principles of Islamic economic\r\nethics and law is very important in the management of shrimp pond waste in Sumenep\r\nso that farmers can maintain a balance between economic aspects with other aspects,\r\nnamely environmental and social. Based on the background, the author formulates\r\ntwo main problems, namely how the practice of disposal of shrimp pond waste in\r\nSumenep Regency and the analysis of Islamic economic ethics on the practice of\r\ndisposal of shrimp pond waste in Sumenep Regency.\r\nThis type of research includes qualitative field research using a\r\nnormative-empirical approach. An approach that combines normative and empirical\r\nlegal research. This research is descriptive analytical. Sources of data obtained from\r\nprimary data sources, namely the results of interviews and secondary data sources in\r\nthe form of laws, books and articles. While the theoretical framework that becomes\r\nthe basis for gaining understanding in this research is ethical theory and Islamic\r\neconomic theory.\r\nThe results showed that the practice of disposal of shrimp pond waste in\r\nSumenep District can be qualified into three parts, namely the group of farmers who\r\nhave knowledge related to the harmful effects of waste so that they do waste\r\ntreatment. the second group knows the impact of waste but does not do waste\r\ntreatment. the third group has no knowledge of the impact of waste and does not do\r\nwaste treatment. While the overall behaviour of farmers in Sumenep meets the\r\nprinciples of Islamic economic ethics in terms of carrying out work obligations,\r\ndiligently working, conducting production in a halal context, having a clear target of\r\nproducing quality shrimp and producing shrimp according to needs. While some\r\nfarmers violate the principles of Islamic economic ethics in the form of the obligation\r\nto manage waste, produce waste that harms, damages and pollutes the environment,\r\ndoes not have a waste treatment target."^^ .
