This condition is influenced by learning that has not optimally linked the material to everyday values and spiritual aspects. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the cooperative learning model with a Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach based on thematic verses from the Qur'an in improving student learning outcomes and spiritual attitudes in the psychotropic sub-subject at MAN 4 Bantul. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects consisted of 13 students in the experimental class and 14 students in the control class, selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included multiple-choice tests to measure cognitive learning outcomes through pre-tests and post-tests, a Likert scale spiritual attitude questionnaire to measure affective domains, and an expert validation sheet to assess the validity of both instruments. Both instruments were tested for validity and reliability before use. Learning outcome data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent t-tests, paired samples t-tests, and normalized gain calculations. Spiritual attitude data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed no statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups in learning outcomes (p=0.196), but the N-Gain score of the experimental group (0.427) was higher than that of the control group (0.251). The average spiritual attitude score of the experimental class (88.4) was also higher than that of the control class (85.4), accompanied by the reflective involvement of students in relating Qur'anic verses to the dangers of psychotropic drugs, indicating the potential for internalization of spiritual values.
