"Marriage is a sacred event that not only unites two individuals but also marks the\r\nbeginning of a long journey to build a harmonious and resilient family. However,\r\nthe readiness of prospective couples to face the dynamics of married life is often\r\nlimited, making them vulnerable to conflict and even divorce. To address this issue,\r\nthe Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) of Kapanewon Prambanan, Sleman Regency,\r\norganizes a premarital counseling program as a preventive measure to equip future\r\nspouses with essential knowledge and skills for household life.\r\nThis study aims to examine the implementation of premarital counseling at KUA\r\nKapanewon Prambanan and to analyze the marital resilience of couples after\r\nparticipating in the program. The research uses a juridical-normative approach with\r\na qualitative method. Data were collected through interviews with KUA officials\r\nand married couples—both those who attended and those who did not—as well as\r\ndocumentation related to program implementation.\r\nThe findings indicate that the premarital counseling at KUA Kapanewon\r\nPrambanan has been carried out systematically and in accordance with technical\r\nguidelines. The materials cover spiritual, psychological, social, and economic\r\naspects of family life. Couples who participated in the counseling demonstrated\r\nbetter mental and emotional readiness, more open communication, and greater\r\nmarital stability compared to those who did not.\r\nThus, premarital counseling plays a significant role in shaping families that are\r\nsakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah. This program functions not only as an\r\nadministrative requirement but also as an effective means to foster awareness,\r\npreparedness, and resilience in facing the challenges of modern married life."^^ .
