description: The development of increasingly modern science and technology has caused the world of education to also develop rapidly. One of the organizers in supporting education is universities. Lecturers are an important component as a reference to determine the progress of the academic field of a university. The Faculty of Science, XYZ University is one of the Islamic state universities in the Yogyakarta area. Lecturers of the Faculty of Sciences at XYZ University in addition to carrying out the Tridharma of Higher Education, there are also other activities that must be carried out by lecturers, including holding structural positions, being a member of committees or working groups at faculties or universities. The job of a lecturer is one of the complex jobs, since all his duties and activities can be done outside of working hours. This study uses the NASA-TLX method to measure the mental workload of lecturers with the aim of analyzing the causative factors and seeking recommendations for improvement to improve lecturer performance. The results of the study were obtained with an average WWL value of 74.73 which means high. Some of the most influential indicators include performance at 24%, effort at 23%, mental needs at 21%, and time needs at 18%. This research is expected to provide an evaluation for the Faculty of Science in creating a better work environment.
