Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study examines how Diskominfo communicates the JSP program amidst digital transformation challenges. The findings reveal that Diskominfo DIY primarily relies on Press Releases and Special Events for public communication. Other strategic media relations instruments, such as formal Press Conferences, Press Briefings, Press Tours, Press Luncheons, and Press Interviews, are either not utilized in a planned manner or conducted informally, which may limit comprehensive information dissemination. This reliance on a limited range of activities, coupled with an acknowledged lack of systematic monitoring and evaluation, particularly on digital platforms like Instagram, suggests an unoptimized strategic opportunity for building broader public awareness and deeper understanding of the JSP program. In conclusion, the current media relations practices by Diskominfo DIY for JSP are not fully integrated or proactive in engaging the public, potentially contributing to a gap in public knowledge about the program.
