N2  - The purpose of this research is to investigate the correlation between
moral reasoning with altruism to the students of MA Nurul Ummah Kotagede
Yogyakarta. The hypothesis is that there is a positive correlation between moral
reasoning with altruism. The population are 145 students MA Nurul Ummah
Kotagede Yogyakarta and devide in 7 groups. The sample are collected with
cluster random sampling technique and obtained 71 students for the research. The
metodology of this research is quantitative research. The data are collected using
Kohlberg Moral Reasoning Scale which adapted by Budiningsih (2001) and
Altruism Scale. The data were analyzed using spearman rho correlation test with
SPSS 16.00 softwere. The result of this research are there is no correlation
between moral reasoning with altruism to the students at MA Nurul Ummah
Kotagede Yogyakarta with correlation rho=0,107 and p=0,372.
