%X Early marriage is a marriage in which a man and a woman marry before reaching the age limit determined by the Marriage Law, which according to Law Number 16 of 2019 concerning Marriage, the minimum age limit is 19 (nineteen) years. However, in Jukong-Jukong Village, Kangayan District, Sumenep Regency, early marriage still occurs and is a fairly complex problem, because the interaction between cultural, economic, and educational elements of society is reflected in this activity which is a component of social reality. The formulation of the problem in this study, namely: 1. What are the factors that cause early marriage in Jukong-Jukong Village? 2. How is the implementation of early marriage in Jukong-Jukong Village reviewed according to the Marriage Law? This study aims to identify the factors that cause early marriage and then to explain what the implementation of early marriage is like according to the Marriage Law.  This research is empirical legal research, descriptive analytical in nature, and employs an empirical legal approach, using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. Data analysis uses qualitative methods that emphasize understanding the social realities that occur in the field.  The results of this study indicate that early marriage occurs due to the existence of "tangkeppan" (forced marriage due to social pressure), parental factors, educational factors, economic factors, and individual factors. Early marriage occurs due to a marriage dispensation, which is processed in court. However, early marriage also occurs without a marriage dispensation, known as "underhand marriage" or "siri" early marriage. This practice of early marriage is not actually illegal as long as there is a marriage dispensation. While a siri marriage is a legal marriage because it is conducted according to religious law, it does not formally meet the requirements stipulated in the Marriage Law.
