(2) Why has the practice of ngalor-ngulon customary marriage changed in Pace Wetan Village? (3) How does the theory of globalization review the factors of changes in the prohibition of ngalor-ngulon customs in Pace Wetan Village? The type of research used is field research with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews with local people, direct observation of the implementation of traditional marriages, and documentation related to the research of the ngalor-ngulon tradition. Research informants consisted of traditional leaders, religious leaders, and the people of Pace Wetan Village. The data analysis technique used was analytical descriptive analysis, which aims to identify changes in local cultural values. This study reveals that the ngalor-ngulon marriage tradition in Pace Wetan Village has undergone quite significant changes over time, influenced by various factors such as globalization, technological developments, urbanization, education and religion or beliefs. These factors encourage the practice of ngalor-ngulon to transform into something more flexible, adapting to the needs and conditions of the times without eliminating the core values that have been passed down from generation to generation. Through the theory of globalization, this tradition proves its ability to survive by continuing to adapt to social dynamics, so that the cultural essence contained therein remains relevant and respected by the community. This adjustment not only shows the flexibility of the ngalor-ngulon tradition, but also illustrates the awareness of the Pace Wetan Village community to maintain the continuity of their cultural identity amidst changing times. %Z Dr. Mochamad Sodik S.Sos., M.Si.
