This issue arises due to multiple contributing factors, including family dynamics, the school/madrasah environment, mass media, cultural and social surroundings, as well as peer groups. The forms of bullying identified include direct bullying, indirect bullying, physical bullying, verbal bullying, and psychological (mental) bullying. This study was conducted based on the premise that a boarding school environment should ideally foster moral values, ethics, good character, and positive personality development among students; however, instances of bullying persist among the santri. Victims of bullying may exhibit either positive or negative responses, depending on various internal acceptance factors. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to explore the resilience mechanisms developed by santri in coping with bullying behaviors. The study adopts Grotberg’s theory of resilience, which consists of three components: I Have, I Am, and I Can. Each individual possesses an inherent ability to face life’s adversities, which is referred to as resilience. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The subject selection was conducted through snowball sampling, and data validation was carried out via triangulation involving the head of the boarding school’s security division, the victims, and the counseling teacher. The presence of self-confidence, social support, strong spiritual beliefs, and the ability to think positively are identified as key resilience factors. When these four factors are present within a bullying victim, the individual is considered to have resilience. Resilient individuals are typically supported by various sources : "I Have" refers to a foundation of trust and openness to confide in close friends or trusted individuals; "I Am" denotes the internal belief in one’s capacity to personally resolve issues of bullying; and "I Can" highlights the individual’s ability to integrate problem-solving skills, social competence, and relationship-building abilities effectively. Therefore, the resilience of santri at MA Al-Ma’had An-Nur Bantul in facing bullying behavior reflects a necessary psychological endurance. When internal and external sources of strength and support are present, the negative impacts of bullying are expected to diminish significantly. date: 2025-07-18 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: id identifier: https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/74333/1/18102050012_BAB-I_IV-atau-V_DAFTAR-PUSTAKA.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/74333/2/18102050012_BAB-II_sampai_SEBELUM-BAB-TERAKHIR.pdf identifier: Fahrizal Mansyur Nurdin, NIM.: 18102050012 (2025) RESILIENSI SANTRI MADRASAH ALIYAH AL-MA’HAD AN-NUR BANTUL DALAM MENGHADAPI PERILAKU PERUNDUNGAN.
