description: Vocabulary mastery is one of the primary challenges in learning the Arabic  language. Beginner learners often face difficulties in memorizing and  comprehending meanings. Low learning motivation and the limitations of  conventional teaching media further exacerbate the learning outcomes. The use of  cartoon-based audiovisual media offers a potentially effective and enjoyable  approach to improving Arabic vocabulary acquisition. This study aims to examine  the effectiveness of cartoon-based audiovisual media in enhancing students' Arabic  vocabulary mastery in a more engaging and efficient manner.  This research involved a single group of students—an experimental group—  who were observed before and after the implementation of cartoon-based  audiovisual media. The study adopts a quantitative approach using a quasiexperimental  design. Data were collected through observation, pre-tests, post-tests,  and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using t-tests and hypothesis  testing with the aid of SPSS version 22.  The results revealed that the students at State Islamic Senior High School 3  Sleman experienced significant improvements in their Arabic vocabulary mastery  after the use of cartoon-based audiovisual media. There was a notable difference  between the pre-test and post-test scores, with the average post-test vocabulary  score reaching 59.00. The normality test indicated that significance (Sig.) value  greater than 0.05, the assumption of normality was met. Furthermore, the  homogeneity test showed a significance value (Sig.) greater than 0.05 for all  methods, indicating that the data had homogeneous variances. The analysis results  showed that the mean difference between the pre-test and post-test scores was -  15.833, with a t-value of -10.181 and a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000. Since  the significance value is less than 0.05, the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected and the  alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) is accepted, confirming that there is a significant  difference between students who used cartoon-based audiovisual media and those  who did not.
