Low learning motivation and the limitations of\r\nconventional teaching media further exacerbate the learning outcomes. The use of\r\ncartoon-based audiovisual media offers a potentially effective and enjoyable\r\napproach to improving Arabic vocabulary acquisition. This study aims to examine\r\nthe effectiveness of cartoon-based audiovisual media in enhancing students' Arabic\r\nvocabulary mastery in a more engaging and efficient manner.\r\nThis research involved a single group of students—an experimental group—\r\nwho were observed before and after the implementation of cartoon-based\r\naudiovisual media. The study adopts a quantitative approach using a quasiexperimental\r\ndesign. Data were collected through observation, pre-tests, post-tests,\r\nand documentation. Data analysis was conducted using t-tests and hypothesis\r\ntesting with the aid of SPSS version 22.\r\nThe results revealed that the students at State Islamic Senior High School 3\r\nSleman experienced significant improvements in their Arabic vocabulary mastery\r\nafter the use of cartoon-based audiovisual media. There was a notable difference\r\nbetween the pre-test and post-test scores, with the average post-test vocabulary\r\nscore reaching 59.00. The normality test indicated that significance (Sig.) value\r\ngreater than 0.05, the assumption of normality was met. Furthermore, the\r\nhomogeneity test showed a significance value (Sig.) greater than 0.05 for all\r\nmethods, indicating that the data had homogeneous variances. The analysis results\r\nshowed that the mean difference between the pre-test and post-test scores was -\r\n15.833, with a t-value of -10.181 and a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000. Since\r\nthe significance value is less than 0.05, the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected and the\r\nalternative hypothesis (Hₐ) is accepted, confirming that there is a significant\r\ndifference between students who used cartoon-based audiovisual media and those\r\nwho did not."^^ .
