One measure of a country's success is its ability to address various social and economic issues, including high unemployment rates that can trigger poverty, particularly in Indonesia. Therefore, labor absorption is a crucial indicator in addressing this issue while supporting economic development. This study aims to evaluate the factors influencing labor absorption in Central Java during the 2021?2023 period using secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analysis was conducted using a fixed effect model in 29 districts in Central Java. The results show that minimum wages and government spending have a positive impact on labor absorption, while economic growth and the human development index (HDI) showed no effect on labor absorption in the 29 districts during the study period.} }
