N2  - The presidential election is a crucial moment in Indonesian politics. In the 2024 presidential election, political communication strategies are key to shaping public image and support. One prominent strategy is "nyantri" (religious affiliation) by the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka ticket, a symbolic religious approach that showcases closeness to Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), Islamic scholars (kiai), and Islamic students (santri) as significant voter bases. Online media, particularly detik.com, plays a significant role in framing this narrative and influencing public opinion. This study examines the political communication strategy of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka ticket in the 2024 presidential election through the concept of "nyantri" as a symbolic religious approach. The background of the research is based on the increasing use of online media, particularly detik.com, in building political image and influencing public opinion. This study uses a qualitative method with Robert N. Entman's framing analysis of detik.com news coverage highlighting Prabowo's visit to an Islamic boarding school, support from Islamic scholars and students, and the Islamic boarding school endowment fund campaign. The research results show that the "nyantri" strategy successfully shaped Prabowo's image as someone close to Islamic scholars and Islamic boarding schools, thereby strengthening his positive framing and increasing his electability ahead of the election. These findings confirm that the integration of religious symbols and digital media strategies is effective in building political legitimacy within Indonesia's Muslim community.
