"This research was conducted to develop innovative, interactive and\r\nmeaningful media in the form of pop-up books with Madurese cultural themes to\r\nimprove the competence of early childhood. Pop-up book media based on\r\nMadurese culture is packaged as attractively as possible to be used as an\r\nalternative teaching method specifically to introduce Madurese culture to early\r\nchildhood. The purpose of this research is to determine: (1) the development of\r\npop-up book media with Madurese culture to improve the competence of early\r\nchildhood, (2) the feasibility of pop-up book media with Madurese culture to\r\nimprove the competence of early childhood, (3) the effectiveness of pop-up book\r\nmedia with Madurese culture to improve the competence of early childhood.\r\nThis study uses Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE\r\ndevelopment model, which includes five stages, namely analysis, design,\r\ndevelopment, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of the study were 27\r\nchildren aged 5–6 years at RA Babul Huda, PAUD Melati, and RA Al-\r\nMunawwaroh. Data collection was carried out through validation by media\r\nexperts, material experts, and Madurese cultural experts, as well as through\r\nobservation, interviews, questionnaires, and field trials. Data were analyzed by\r\nproduct validity testing using feasibility and effectiveness testing. The feasibility\r\ntest product used the NP formula. While the product effectiveness test used a\r\npaired sample t-test with a one-group pretest–posttest design model.\r\nThe results of the study indicate that: (1) a product has been produced in\r\nthe form of a pop-up book learning media based on Madurese culture. (2) The\r\npop-up book media of Madurese culture is very suitable for use, with validation\r\nresults from media experts of 96.4%, material experts 93.3%, and cultural experts\r\n96%, and (3) The media is said to be effective as indicated by the T test using the\r\nassistance of SPSS 16 paired sample t-test model and obtained a value of 0.000\r\nwhich is less than 0.005 which means there is a difference between before and\r\nafter the implementation of the media with an average of 15%, the conclusion is\r\nthat the media is effective in stimulating early childhood competencies."^^ .
