Ketimbang Ngemis Yogyakarta (KNY) emerges as a community-based initiative that provides support through social action. This study describes KNY?s interventions in supporting elderly workers, identifies the forms of social action implemented, and analyzes the challenges faced by the community. Using a qualitative case study approach through interviews, observations, and documentation involving thirteen informants, the data were analyzed using Jack Rothman?s social action model. The findings reveal four main forms of social action: direct assistance and purchasing elderly workers? goods, online social campaigns, community mobilization, and social advocacy. The challenges encountered include the absence of formal leadership, unstable volunteer participation, ineffective internal communication, limited funding, difficulties in reaching beneficiaries, and environmental or weather-related obstacles. These factors affect the effectiveness of the community?s planning and implementation of interventions.
