%T TADABUR AL-QUR’AN EMHA AINUN NADJIB SEBAGAI MANIFESTASI EPISTEMOLOGI ISLAM DALAM MEMBACA REALITAS
%X This study examines the concept of tadabur Al-Qur'an offered by Emha Ainun Nadjib through an epistemological perspective. The background of this study stems from a theoretical gap in the study of tadabur, where Nadjib's approach has been understood more as a form of reception or method of tadabur Al-Qur'an, but has not been examined from an epistemological point of view. In fact, Nadjib's tadabur of the Qur'an differs from tafsir or tadabur of the Qur'an in general. What Nadjib offers is more like a process of reasoning or learning from the Qur'an, which distinguishes it from tafsir processes that are more oriented towards reasoning or studying the Qur'an. Thus, the Qur'an becomes Nadjib's epistemological instrument in reading reality.
Using a qualitative approach based on literature study, this research analyzes Nadjib's works, both his work “Mushaf Al-Qur'an Tadabbur Maiyah Padhangmbulan”, his writings on the official website caknun.com, and video recordings of his lectures on YouTube. The data is analyzed using explanatory analysis techniques within the framework of knowledge theory to reveal the epistemic construction contained in Nadjib's tadabur.
The results of the study show that Nadjib's tadabur presents an Islamic epistemological construct based on the Qur'an. This concept views the Qur'an not merely as an object of reading, but also as an epistemological instrument that plays a role in shaping human thinking. The Islamic epistemology offered includes three main elements: (1) the subject and tools of knowledge in the form of humans and their reason, heart (intuition), and experience; (2) the object of knowledge in the form of reality; (3) the method of seeking knowledge through tadabbur of the Qur'an; and (4) the validation of knowledge measured by its usefulness for moral, spiritual, and social purposes, as well as its existential closeness to Allah. Thus, Nadjib's tadabur can be seen as a manifestation of Islamic epistemology in reading reality.
