(2) To determine the validity of digital pop-up book media to improve Indonesian spelling understanding and descriptive writing skills of fifth grade elementary school students. (3) To determine the effectiveness of digital pop-up book media to improve Indonesian spelling understanding and descriptive writing skills of fifth grade elementary school students. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model, which includes five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. Data obtained from the results of observations, interviews, documentation, and product validation by experts were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. Meanwhile, quantitative descriptive analysis was used to process the data from the product effectiveness test results by comparing pretest and posttest scores through paired sample t-tests and N-Gain tests to determine improvements in learning outcomes before and after product use. The results of this research and development indicate that the development of digital pop-up book media through the ADDIE model stages resulted in several findings, namely: (1) The digital pop-up book media has been successfully developed using the ADDIE model. (2) The digital pop-up book media is suitable for use in learning implementation, with validation results from linguists: 94%, media experts: 85%, material experts: 78%, teacher responses: 97%, and students: 77%. (3) The use of digital pop-up book media can improve students' understanding of Indonesian spelling, as seen after treatment. The results of the paired sample ttest and a significance level of 0.000 <0.05. The NGain test result of 0.87 is in the high category, with 87% being in the effective category. The use of digital pop-up books can improve students' descriptive writing skills, as seen after treatment. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significance of 0.000 <0.05. The NGain test result of 0.80 is in the high category, with 80% being in the effective category. Therefore, digital pop-up books are effective in improving the understanding of Indonesian spelling and descriptive writing skills of fifth-grade elementary school students.
