Academic procrastination is influenced by several factors, one of which is emotional regulation. This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional regulation and academic procrastination in students of SMPN 2 Srandakan Bantul. This research is quantitative with a correlational approach. The measurement instruments used are the emotional regulation scale and the academic procrastination scale. The sample size for this study was 130 out of a population of 192, using a convenience sampling technique. Data analysis used Rank Spearman correlation analysis with SPSS. The results showed a correlation coefficient of -0.340 with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.005, indicating a negative and highly significant relationship between emotional regulation and academic procrastination among students at Srandakan 2 Junior High School, Bantul. Therefore, the proposed hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. This means that the higher a student's emotional regulation, the lower their academic procrastination.
