This study aims to examine the influence of internet parenting as a factor influencing the risk of online grooming. The method used in this study was a quantitative correlational approach with two research scales: an adaptation of the internet parenting scale by Dhir & Khalil (2018) (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.821) and an adaptation of the Multidimensional Online Grooming Scale by Gamez-Guandix et al., (2021) (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.946). The sample of this study was 152 junior high and senior high school/vocational high school students. Sampling was conducted using a purposive sampling technique with certain criteria. Data analysis used multiple linear regression techniques with the assistance of Jamovi software. The results of the study showed a significant negative relationship between internet parenting and the risk of online grooming (F table 2.44 < F count 44.6, with Sig < .001). Furthermore, a partial test showed a significant relationship between parental encouragement (t = -4.03), parental worry (t = -6.36) and parental monitoring (t = -3.02) and the risk of online grooming. Meanwhile, parental permission had a positive relationship with the risk of online grooming (t = 2.05). From the findings, it was concluded that adolescent protection against online grooming is formed from a combination of appropriate parenting: positive encouragement, active supervision, healthy concerns, and strict limits on permission for children's online activities.
