"The background of this research is the low learning motivation among students,\r\nparticularly those in vocational high schools, which highlights the need for\r\nawareness and efforts to enhance learning motivation. An appropriate learning\r\nmethod is required to support this improvement. This study aims to examine the\r\neffectiveness of the peer tutoring method in increasing learning motivation among\r\nvocational high school students.\r\nThis research used a quasi-experimental design, conducted at a vocational high\r\nschool in Klaten, involving 58 students as participants. Data were collected using\r\na learning motivation scale and an intervention module. The data were analyzed\r\nusing quantitative techniques, including descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing\r\nthrough the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and the Mann–Whitney U Test.\r\nThe Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed a p-value of 0.420 (p > 0.05), indicating no\r\nsignificant difference between students learning motivation scores before and after\r\nthe peer tutoring intervention. The Mann-Whitney U Test showed a p-value of 0.023\r\n(p < 0.05), indicating that the initial conditions of the two groups were not entirely\r\nequivalent. Furthermore, the posttest comparison using the Mann-Whitney U Test\r\nresulted in a p-value of 0.097 (p > 0.05), indicating no significant difference in\r\nposttest learning motivation scores between the experimental and control groups.\r\nThese findings suggest that the peer tutoring method has not yet demonstrated a\r\nstrong influence on improving learning motivation. However, the results do not rule\r\nout the potential of peer tutoring to enhance learning motivation when implemented\r\nwith more thorough and sustained planning. By considering aspects such as\r\nduration, tutor preparation, and the creation of a supportive learning environment,\r\npeer tutoring may serve as an effective alternative method for fostering students\r\nlearning motivation."^^ .
