"Student engagement is key to the success of education and competency\r\nachievement in vocational schools. Various academic and practical challenges require\r\nvocational school students to persevere and adapt in order to engage in learning, so\r\nacademic resilience plays an important role in supporting students to maintain their\r\nmotivation and engagement in learning at school. The purpose of this study is to examine\r\nthe relationship between academic resilience and student engagement in vocational\r\nschools. This study used a correlational quantitative method with convenience sampling\r\ntechnique. The subjects in this study were 213 vocational high school students in Bantul,\r\nYogyakarta. There were two measuring instruments in this study, namely the School\r\nEngagement Scale and the Academic Resilience Scale. Data analysis in this study shows a\r\npositive and significant correlation between academic resilience and student engagement,\r\nnamely p<0.001 (p<0.05), an R value of 0.642, and an R2 value of 0.412. This study shows\r\nthat the higher the academic resilience of students, the higher their engagement at school.\r\nThis study emphasizes the importance of academic resilience in supporting student\r\nengagement in the learning process at school."^^ .
