Various academic and practical challenges require vocational school students to persevere and adapt in order to engage in learning, so academic resilience plays an important role in supporting students to maintain their motivation and engagement in learning at school. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between academic resilience and student engagement in vocational schools. This study used a correlational quantitative method with convenience sampling technique. The subjects in this study were 213 vocational high school students in Bantul, Yogyakarta. There were two measuring instruments in this study, namely the School Engagement Scale and the Academic Resilience Scale. Data analysis in this study shows a positive and significant correlation between academic resilience and student engagement, namely p<0.001 (p<0.05), an R value of 0.642, and an R2 value of 0.412. This study shows that the higher the academic resilience of students, the higher their engagement at school. This study emphasizes the importance of academic resilience in supporting student engagement in the learning process at school.
