description: This study aims to identify the diversity of lichens in the Bukit Songgo Langit Tourism Area, Bantul, and to develop a locally based learning media in the form of a booklet that can be used as a biology learning resource for high school students. The research was conducted in two stages: an exploratory study to identify lichen species and a development study (R&D) using the ADDIE model, which includes the Analysis, Design, and Development stages. Lichen samples were collected using the cruise method across three observation stations. Abiotic parameters such as temperature, humidity, and light intensity were measured to determine environmental conditions influencing lichen growth. The results indicated that Bukit Songgo Langit hosts several lichen species with varying morphological characteristics, including crustose, foliose, and fruticose groups. The identification results were integrated into a booklet designed with attention to content feasibility, language clarity, graphic quality, and practicality. The booklet's feasibility was evaluated by a material expert, media expert, biology teacher, peer reviewers, and tenth-grade students. Validation results showed that the booklet fell into the “Excellent” category, with very good scores from all expert validators and a “Highly Practical” response from students. Therefore, the lichen diversity booklet is considered feasible and practical for use as a learning resource that supports biology learning based on local potential and enhances students’ understanding of biodiversity in their surrounding environment.
