"This study was motivated by the increasing circulation and consumption of\r\nalcoholic beverages in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, which has caused social\r\nunrest, increased crime, and weakened the morality of the younger generation. This\r\nsituation has prompted the emergence of various religious social movements, one of\r\nwhich is the Forum Ukhuwah Islamiyah (FUI) DIY, which plays an active role in\r\ncombating alcoholic beverages through education and da'wah programs based on\r\nIslamic values and local culture.\r\nThis study aims to analyze the form and implementation of FUI's educational\r\nprograms, the relationship between community cohesiveness and the effectiveness of\r\nthese programs, and the factors that influence the formation of social cohesiveness in\r\nsupporting the anti-alcohol movement. The research method used is qualitative with a\r\ncase study approach, focusing on the activities and community of FUI DIY. Data was\r\nobtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation\r\nstudies involving administrators, members, and the surrounding community. The\r\nanalysis was conducted descriptively using Carron et al.'s group cohesiveness theory\r\nto understand the dynamics of social relationships between members and their\r\ncontribution to the effectiveness of the education program.\r\nThematic studies, youth outreach, and moral campaigns in the community. A\r\nhigh level of social cohesion is reflected in solidarity, trust, and a shared commitment\r\namong the community to reject alcohol. Religious factors, leadership of prominent\r\nfigures, and the cultural value of mutual cooperation are the main factors\r\nstrengthening these social bonds. This study confirms that strengthening community\r\ncohesion based on Islamic values is an effective and sustainable strategy in efforts to\r\ncombat alcohol in Yogyakarta."^^ . "2025-11-03" . . . .
