Initially serving as an expression of respect for ancestors and a means of strengthening social solidarity, this tradition has undergone new dynamics alongside increasing tourism activities and decreasing participation among the younger generation. The research addresses two main questions: (1) How is the social construction of the grave-visiting tradition manifested among the Sagalaherang community? and (2) What are the social impacts of this construction on religious tourism in Sagalaherang? Using a qualitative approach and Berger and Luckmann’s theory of social construction, this study explores the processes of externalization, objectivation, and internalization that shape the social reality of grave-visiting practices in the village. The findings reveal that the community continues to preserve spiritual values and customary traditions through various adaptive strategies, including digital documentation and the strengthening of local community roles, in order to sustain the tradition amid increasing pressures of globalization. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the relationship between religion, culture, and social change within agrarian communities in Indonesia. %Z Dr. Masroer, S.Ag, M.Si.
