Studies of internal structure and inter-surah cohesion within the series of surahs have not received adequate attention. As the opening of a surah in the Quran, these letters play a dominant role in its content. This study aims to: (1) determine the structure of surahs beginning with Ha Mim, and (2) determine the position of Ha Mim within that structure. This research is qualitative library research. The primary data source is taken from the verses contained in the Hawamim surahs. The approach used is structural, in which the collected data are analyzed using the method proposed by Levi-Strauss. This method is carried out by identifying mythemes as the main elements of the narrative based on binary opposition and then arranging them syntagmatically and paradigmatically. This study concludes that: (1) the structure of the Hawamim surahs is a twofold oppositional structure. These two structures symbolize believers and unbelievers. (2) the relationship between Ha Mim and the surahs it introduces is structurally symbolic, meaning that Ha Mim and its structure function as signs that indicate the thematic structure of the surahs. Thus, Thus, the hawamim occupies a primary position as both a sign and a summary of the contents of the letter. date: 2025-12-04 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: id identifier: https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/75005/1/23205032015_BAB-I_IV-atau-V_DAFTAR-PUSTAKA.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/75005/2/23205032015_BAB-II_sampai_SEBELUM-BAB-TERAKHIR.pdf identifier: Ramadona Saputra, NIM.: 23205032015 (2025) MENINJAU STRUKTUR SURAT HAWAMIM DALAM AL-QURAN.
