%T PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN SMARTPHONE TERHADAP MINAT BACA SISWA SMAN 1 CANGKRINGAN
%X This study aims to determine the effect of smartphone use on reading interest of SMAN 1 Cangkringan students. This research uses quantitative descriptive research methods, and the type of research is correlation. The main data collection technique used was questionnaire, supported by observation, interview and documentation. The subjects in this study were students of SMAN 1 Cangkringan and the object in this study was the effect of smartphone use on reading interest. The population in this study were all 416 students of SMAN 1 Cangkringan. The sample of this study amounted to 81 students using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The results showed that there was a significant influence between the use of smartphones on reading interest. The result of rcount of 0.483 shows greater than rtable which means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus it can be concluded that there is an influence between the Smartphone Usage variable and the Reading Interest variable. Variable X to variable Y has a correlation with the degree of relationship, namely the correlation is moderate and the form of the relationship is positive. Based on the simple linear regression test analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that the use of smartphones affects the reading interest of SMAN 1 Cangkringan students by 23.3%. This shows the regression effect between X and Y, the R squere value is 23.3%, meaning that the smartphone usage variable (X) is able to influence students' reading interest (Y) by 23.3%.
