This marked by an increase of the number of depression and suicide cases in both countries. As an alternative to educating the global community about mental health, there is a film called ?Daily Dose of Sunshine? which contains information about various types of mental health disorders along with their symptoms, prevention, and appropriate treatment. The purpose of the research is to analyze the mental health literacy of the film ?Daily Dose of Sunshine? and its implications for the emotional regulation of Muslim female viewers in Indonesia. This study uses framing analysis and qualitative methods with interviews with five Muslim female viewers. This study argues that the film ?Daily Dose of Sunshine? can help Muslim female viewers in Indonesia to increase their awareness of the importance of mental health and educate them on the importance of emotional regulation to reduce the risk of mental health disorders. From the results of the study, framing analysis data was obtained, namely defining the problem as depression and stigma; diagnosing the causes as patients who commit suicide and care too much about others; making moral judgments in the form of support from family, close friends, co-workers, and positive relationships with patients; suggesting remedies in the form of consulting a specialist, writing a journal of praise, and regulating emotions to prevent recurrence. In addition, the film ?Daily Dose of Sunshine? can provide inspiration for informants to regulate their emotions, especially cognitive elements, through knowledge about self-acceptance, self-compassion, and self-control, in order to reduce the risk of mental health disorders.
