        abstract = {This study analyzes the implementation of the Sedekah Sampah (Trash Alms) program by Lazismu Kulon Progo as a model of economic empowerment based on Islamic philanthropy. This program utilizes household waste as an economically valuable charity to support the welfare of the community. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, the study explores the experiences of program managers, participants, and beneficiaries.
The results indicate that Sedekah Sampah (Trash Alms) is a philanthropic innovation that integrates spiritual values, a sustainable economy, and environmental awareness. This program transforms the community's perception of waste into an asset for worship and empowerment, and increases the income of beneficiaries by up to 25\%. Other impacts include increased social solidarity, ecological awareness, and spirituality. Lazismu Kulon Progo was chosen as the research location because it pioneered the Sedekah Sampah program in Kulon Progo, with strong and accountable governance.
An analysis of the theories of Islamic philanthropy, empowerment, social capital, and the circular economy confirms that this program is an ecotheological practice that promotes economic independence and community well-being. Other impacts include increased social solidarity, ecological awareness, and spirituality.}
