The research aims to\r\nanalyze how Muhammadiyah‘s ideological values are\r\nconstructed and articulated through the visual elements\r\nembedded in its museum archives. A qualitative approach was\r\nemployed, incorporating visual content analysis, ethnographic\r\nobservation, and in-depth interviews with curators and visitors.\r\nThe findings reveal that the museum‘s archives actively\r\nconstruct ideological narratives of Islamic modernism and\r\nnationalism through carefully curated visual frameworks.\r\nRepresentations of Muhammadiyah leaders, educational\r\ninitiatives, and social movements are displayed with an\r\naesthetic that underscores values such as progress, rationality,\r\nand reform. The curatorial practices demonstrate processes of\r\nselection and interpretation that mirror the organization‘s\r\ncontemporary ideological orientation in navigating Indonesia‘s\r\nsocio-political landscape. This study contributes to a deeper\r\nunderstanding of museums as ideological agents and\r\nhighlights the importance of visual literacy in interpreting\r\nembedded messages within historical archives.
