Rifa’I, M.A. abstract: The role of Guidance and Counseling Teachers is an important role in supporting the achievement of student learning quality, especially during adolescence who are in a period of changing academic and social development stages. This study aims to determine the form of the role of guidance and counseling teachers in improving the quality of student learning, especially in class VIII of Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Middle School, Cirebon City and how their role is implemented. Education has a strategic role in preparing quality human resources to face future challenges. In the context of formal education, the role of Guidance and Counseling teachers is very important in helping students overcome learning problems and improve their learning quality. This study uses a qualitative approach, this study involved guidance and counseling teachers, class VIII students, homeroom teachers and the Vice Principal of Student Affairs, as informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Reviewed based on the theory of teacher roles according to Sardiman, the study shows that guidance and counseling teachers have a significant role in improving the quality of learning, the form of their role is counselor, motivator, facilitator, informator, mediator, and evaluator.
