Online media possess strategic power in constructing social reality through news framing, which is influenced by each outlet’s ideology and editorial policies. This study aims to analyze the framing of domestic violence issues in the online media outlets Antara News and NU Online, to reveal the ideological foundations underlying their framing practices, and to identify patterns of domestic violence reporting during the period from January to September 2025. This research employs a qualitative method using Robert N. Entman’s framing analysis model, with data collected from domestic violence-related news texts published by both media outlets. The findings indicate that Antara News tends to frame domestic violence in an institutional and factual manner, emphasizing legal aspects, event chronology, and the role of law enforcement agencies. In contrast, NU Online highlights moral and religious perspectives, humanitarian values, and a pro-victim stance through a normative Islamic approach. Furthermore, the dominant patterns of domestic violence reported by both media include physical and psychological violence against women as the primary victims, with perpetrators generally originating from the immediate family sphere, alongside an increasing prevalence of violence rooted in power relations and patriarchal structures. NU Online tends to present domestic violence as a structural and moral issue that requires education and victim protection, whereas Antara News more often positions it as a criminal incident requiring legal intervention. These differences in framing and reporting patterns reflect the distinct media ideologies shaping the construction of domestic violence issues in each outlet. date: 2025-12-17 date_type: published pages: 187 institution: UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA department: FAKULTAS DAKWAH DAN KOMUNIKASI thesis_type: masters thesis_name: other citation: Nurhidayah, NIM.: 23202012007 (2025) FRAMING MEDIA ANTARA NEWS DAN NU ONLINE TENTANG KASUS KEKERASAN DALAM RUMAH TANGGA.
