%T THE IMPACT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY AND ECONOMIC GROWTH ON CARBONDIOXIDE EMISSIONS IN D-8 COUNTRIES FROM 2012 TO 2021

%X This study aims to analyze the effect of GDP per capita, energy consumption, renewable energy, and trade openness on carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions in the Developing Eight (D-8) countries using panel data consisting of 80 observations. The analysis method used is panel data regression with a Fixed Effect Model approach. The results show that energy consumption has a positive and significant effect on CO₂ emissions, while renewable energy has a negative and significant effect. Meanwhile, GDP per capita and trade openness have a positive but insignificant effect on CO₂ emissions, thus requiring energy transition policies to support sustainable development.
