"The formation of students' religious character through the full-day school program\r\nat SMPIT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta has been running well, but it is not yet fully\r\noptimal. This is marked by a number of obstacles, such as differences in habits\r\nbetween home and school, limited guidance staff, peer influence, and a heavy\r\nacademic and memorization schedule that has the potential to cause student\r\nboredom, so that the internalization of religious values has not been maximized.\r\nTherefore, this study aims to examine the implementation of religious character\r\nbuilding, analyze the problems encountered, and explore its implications for the\r\nachievement of Islamic education goals at SMPIT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta. This\r\nstudy uses qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection\r\ntechniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. Data validity is\r\ntested using triangulation. Data analysis techniques use Miles and Huberman's\r\ninteractive model through the stages of data collection, data condensation, data\r\npresentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the\r\nformation of religious character in students at SMPIT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta\r\nthrough the full-day school program has been carried out effectively and\r\nsystematically through five dimensions of religious character, namely belief,\r\nworship, appreciation, knowledge, and practice. However, the process still faces\r\nvarious problems, both from within the students and from external factors, such as\r\ndifferences in habits between home and school, the burden of memorization and\r\nacademic targets, and the limitations of teachers in providing guidance. The\r\nimplications of this religious character building are reflected in changes in student\r\nbehavior, the internalization of religious values in daily life, the formation of\r\nIslamic manners, and alignment with the goals of Islamic education and the concept\r\nof ta'dib according to Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas."^^ .
