This study aims to develop and test the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the “Miyang” Local Wisdom Values based Area Model game media, which integrates Tuban coastal culture into the play activities of 4-5 years old children. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects involved subject matter experts, media experts, instrument experts, practitioners, and children in group A at two early childhood education institutions. Data collection was conducted through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Qualitative data analysis used the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña technique through data triangulation, while quantitative analysis used Aiken's V, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain. The results of the study show that: (1) the process of developing the “Miyang” local wisdom values-based area model game media successfully produced a product that suited the needs and characteristics of students. In addition, the “Miyang” local wisdom values-based area model game media was very feasible with an average score of 88%, consisting of an expert material validator score of 88%, a media expert validator score of 87%, and a practitioner expert validator score of 93%. (2) The “Miyang” local wisdom values-based area model game media proved to be effective in improving the problem-solving abilities of 4-5 years old children, as seen in the paired sample t-test of the two schools, which obtained a sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. The N-Gain results for problem-solving skills obtained a score of 0.9 or a very high category. Based on the results of field research, it can be concluded that the “Miyang” Local Wisdom Values-based Area Model Game Media is valid or suitable for use in learning. In addition, the media is practical and easy to apply, and effective in improving the problem-solving skills of early childhood. The implications of this research show that the “Miyang” local wisdom values-based area model game is a contextual, interactive, and locallybased early childhood education learning medium, and can be used as a conceptual and practical reference for teachers and researchers in developing similar media to improve the problem-solving abilities of early childhood. %Z Prof. Dr. Sigit Purnama, S.Pd.I., M.Pd.
