"The use of contextual and interactive learning media is an important\r\nrequirement in early childhood education, especially for stimulating problem\r\nsolving skills. This study aims to develop and test the validity, practicality, and\r\neffectiveness of the “Miyang” Local Wisdom Values based Area Model game\r\nmedia, which integrates Tuban coastal culture into the play activities of 4-5 years\r\nold children.\r\nThis study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the\r\nADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development,\r\nimplementation, and evaluation. The research subjects involved subject matter\r\nexperts, media experts, instrument experts, practitioners, and children in group A at\r\ntwo early childhood education institutions. Data collection was conducted through\r\nobservation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Qualitative data\r\nanalysis used the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña technique through data\r\ntriangulation, while quantitative analysis used Aiken's V, paired sample t-test, and\r\nN-Gain.\r\nThe results of the study show that: (1) the process of developing the\r\n“Miyang” local wisdom values-based area model game media successfully\r\nproduced a product that suited the needs and characteristics of students. In addition,\r\nthe “Miyang” local wisdom values-based area model game media was very feasible\r\nwith an average score of 88%, consisting of an expert material validator score of\r\n88%, a media expert validator score of 87%, and a practitioner expert validator\r\nscore of 93%. (2) The “Miyang” local wisdom values-based area model game media\r\nproved to be effective in improving the problem-solving abilities of 4-5 years old\r\nchildren, as seen in the paired sample t-test of the two schools, which obtained a\r\nsig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. The N-Gain results for problem-solving skills\r\nobtained a score of 0.9 or a very high category. Based on the results of field\r\nresearch, it can be concluded that the “Miyang” Local Wisdom Values-based Area\r\nModel Game Media is valid or suitable for use in learning. In addition, the media is\r\npractical and easy to apply, and effective in improving the problem-solving skills\r\nof early childhood. The implications of this research show that the “Miyang” local\r\nwisdom values-based area model game is a contextual, interactive, and locallybased\r\nearly childhood education learning medium, and can be used as a conceptual\r\nand practical reference for teachers and researchers in developing similar media to\r\nimprove the problem-solving abilities of early childhood."^^ .
