This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The population consisted of all fifth-grade students at SDN Adisucipto I. The sample included Grade V A as the control group and Grade V B as the experimental group, selected through cluster random sampling. Data on critical thinking skills were collected using essay tests, while data on learning independence were obtained through questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using tests of normality and homogeneity, paired sample t-tests, independent sample t-tests, and N-Gain analysis. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Wordwall significantly improves students? critical thinking skills and learning independence. The improvement in critical thinking skills is evidenced by the results of the paired sample t-test, which yielded a significance value of Sig. = 0.000 ({\ensuremath{<}} 0.05), and is further supported by the results of the independent sample t-test, which revealed a significant difference in posttest mean scores between the experimental and control groups (t = 4.004; Sig. = 0.000 {\ensuremath{<}} 0.05) with a mean difference of 10.141. The N-Gain analysis of critical thinking skills resulted in a value of 0.6277 (62.77\%), which falls into the moderate category. The improvement in students? learning independence also showed significant results based on the paired sample t-test and the independent sample t-test (Sig. = 0.000 {\ensuremath{<}} 0.05) with a mean difference of 8.262. The N-Gain analysis of learning independence yielded a value of 0.6063 (60.63\%), which is categorized as moderate. Therefore, the Discovery Learning model assisted by Wordwall is effective in improving students? critical thinking skills and learning independence in science learning at the elementary school level.} }
