"This research aims to reconstruct and analyze the pattern of Nawawi al-\r\nBantani’s Intra-Qur’anic Hermeneutics in his commentary (tafsīr) book, Maraḥ\r\nLabīd. Intra-Qur’anic Hermeneutics is defined as the practice of Tafsīr al-Qur’an\r\nbi al-Qur’an, a fundamental methodology for understanding the Qur'an as an\r\nintegral and coherent text that is self-explanatory. This research employs a library\r\nresearch approach using descriptive-analytical and historical-hermeneutical\r\nmethods to examine the consistency and mechanism of Nawawi’s interpretation.\r\nThe research result indicate that Nawawi al-Bantani did not consistently\r\napply the Intra-Qur’anic method throughout his commentary. Out of 6,236 Qur'anic\r\nverses, the author identified only 70 verses that employ Intra-Qur’anic\r\nHermeneutics. From that total, this thesis analyzes 20 verses that utilize munasabah\r\n(inter-verse correlation) as a hermeneutical instrument. The reconstruction of the\r\ninterpretative pattern reveals that Nawawi interpreted Qur'anic verses by\r\nreferencing other verses that possess thematic, semantic, and structural alignment,\r\nthereby establishing an integral coherence of meaning.\r\nThis research highlights Nawawi al-Bantani’s inconsistency in building the\r\ninternal coherence of the Qur'an. Nevertheless, this Intra-Qur’anic Hermeneutical\r\npattern serves as an effective mechanism for preserving the originality of meaning\r\nand minimizing subjectivity in interpretation, providing a significant contribution\r\nto the study of Nusantara exegesis methodology."^^ .
