"Beluntas (Pluchea indica (L.) Less) is a herbaceous plant from the Asteraceae family that is used as a local medicinal plant endemic to Indonesia. Beluntas that grows in high altitude areas experiences an increase in secondary metabolites and has phytoestrogenic properties. Phytoestrogens are closely related to negative feedback reactions to estrogen hormone regulation that disrupts ovarian cell development (folliculogenesis). This study aims to analyze the effect of beluntas leaf juice on the number and micromorphometry (diameter) of ovarian follicles in lactating white rats (Rattus norvegicus Berkenhout, 1769). This study was conducted by administering beluntas leaf juice to 12 white rat mothers divided into four groups: control (Andalan Laktasi birth control pills), treatment 1 (20% leaf juice stock solution), treatment 2 (40% leaf juice stock solution), and treatment 3 (80% leaf juice stock solution). On the 18th day after giving birth, the ovaries of the test animals were removed to be used for ovarian histology preparation. The results were analyzed using One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) followed by a Post hoc test with a 95% confidence level. The number of each type of follicle did not differ significantly with a significance value of p > 0.05. The micromorphometric (diameter) analysis of follicles showed significant differences in primordial follicles, secondary follicles, and the corpus luteum. The smallest diameter of secondary is 149,81 ± 22,03 (P1), while the largest corpus luteum diameter is 1115,90 ± 297,64 (P2). This study concludes that the administration of beluntas (Pluchea indica (L.) Less.) leaf extract produced a similar effect to the positive control on the number of ovarian follicles, but showed significant differences in follicle diameter, particularly in primordial follicles, secondary follicles, and the corpus luteum. The beluntas leaf extract at a concentration of 40% resulted in the highest corpus luteum diameter, indicating its potential as a natural contraceptive alternative for postpartum mothers to support birth spacing."^^ .
