These representations construct new social meanings that influence how millennial families perceive the concept of an ideal household. While such standards are often viewed as positive and inspirational references, they may also create psychological pressure and inconsistencies with the diverse realities of family life. This study is a fieldresearch employing a qualitative approach, using a normative perspective based on Al-Ghazali’s theory of mas}lah}ah and a sociological perspective based on Anthony Giddens’ theory of structuration. Data were collected through interviews with millennial married couples in Kapanewon Depok, Sleman, observation of TikTok content related to ideal households, and supporting documentation. The normative approach was applied to assess the alignment of the standardization phenomenon with the objectives of Islamic law (maqa>s}id asy-syari>‘ah), while the sociological approach was used to examine the process through which ideal household standards are constructed through the interaction between media structures and individual agency. The findings indicate that TikTok’s ideal household standards are commonly qualified through visual representations of marital harmony, balanced role distribution, organized parenting practices, and aesthetically presented family lifestyles. The standardization process occurs through repetitive content exposure, normalization of visual narratives, and limited internalization by couples, which are then negotiated with their actual household conditions. Based on mas}lah}ah analysis, the standardization of ideal households on TikTok cannot be categorized as mas}lah}ah d}aru>riyyah, but rather as mas}lah}ah h}a>jiyyah and tah}si>niyyah that function as complementary and enhancing elements. Such standards may generate benefits when approached selectively and proportionally; however, they may lead to mafsadah when imposed rigidly and used as the primary benchmark for evaluating household success, disregarding the essential objectives of marriage in Islamic law. %K Tiktok, Rumah Tangga Ideal, Keluarga Milenial, Teori Maslahah %D 2026 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA %L digilib75487
